OmniTRAX Safe Shipper Award presented to two local Cumberland County (NJ) companies with spotless rail safety records

VINELAND, NJ  – Winchester & Western Railroad Company (WW), a managed affiliate of OmniTRAX – the Colorado based transportation affiliate of The Broe Group, today presented a contribution to the Upper Deerfield (NJ) Fire Department at a ceremony honoring local recipients of the inaugural OmniTRAX Safe Shipper Award.  The OmniTRAX Safe Shipper Award is presented to companies that modeled exemplary shipping safety by shipping or receiving loaded cars with WWNJ Photono accidental releases during the previous year.

The 2020 OmniTRAX Safe Shipper Award recipients on the WW line in New Jersey are National Refrigerants, Inc. and Crestwood Energy Partners LP, both located in Bridgeton, NJ.  A $1,000 contribution was made in the name of each company.

“OmniTRAX continues its strong support of the brave first responders in the communities where we operate, along with promoting the safe actions of our shipper clients that allow groups like the Upper Deerfield Fire Department to spend more time on incident prevention and education,” said Brian Ward, President of Winchester and Western Railroad.

Upper Deerfield Fire Department Chief Mike Dyer said, “We thank the Winchester & Western Railroad and OmniTRAX for this generous gift and will use it to help bolster our emergency response training and educate the community about acting safely and responsibly around the railroad.”
