OmniTRAX-managed railroads are nationally recognized for our safety records by the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association. We consistently win “Jake Certificates with Distinction,” an award for member railroads with no Federal Railroad Association-reportable injuries during the previous year and recognition that we consider a testament to our vigilance, responsibility, and integrity.
Responsible Care
In the fall of 2019, OmniTRAX joined the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® Partner Program, committing to the chemical manufacturing industry’s environmental, health, safety and security performance initiative. OmniTRAX joins North America’s seven Class 1 freight railroads as a partner to reconfirm the company’s commitment to continuous improvement in environment, health, safety, and security.
Many of the elements that comprise the Responsible Care Management System® are currently implemented at OmniTRAX. As part of its membership in Responsible Care, OmniTRAX will document and report performance metrics and records relevant to safety, health, environment and security.
