OmniTRAX and Great Western Railway Recognizes US Rail Safety Week
Posted On: September 27, 2017

GREELEY, COLO. September 24, 2017 – Kevin Shuba, CEO of OmniTRAX, Inc., which manages the Great Western Railway, released the following statement in support of the first national US Rail Safety Week:

“Safety is one of our core values, and we applaud Operation Lifesaver for launching this new initiative.  Their work toward reducing collisions, fatalities and injuries at highway-rail crossings and preventing trespassing on or near railroad tracks is a hugely important public service.  Especially in Weld County, which has the most rail crossings in Colorado, people must be especially vigilant.

“I would also like to thank Mayor Norton for his proclamation in honor of US Rail Safety week.  The support of our public officials helps to elevate this issue and raise public awareness.”

To punctuate the week, Operation Lifesaver Inc, is hosting a public proclamation at the Greeley Chamber’s Depot west parking lot at 902 7th Ave. on September 26th at 9am.  This will be a repeat of the proclamation that Greeley Mayor Tom presented to the City Council meeting on September 19th at 6:30 p.m.
