Brookhaven Rail Terminal operator agreement adds one of the nation’s largest consumer markets to OmniTRAX rail network

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. – July 30, 2025 – OmniTRAX, one of the nation’s fastest growing privately held infrastructure companies, has been named the exclusive railroad operator of Brookhaven Rail Terminal in Long Island. An essential commerce artery that connects three million consumers to world markets, Brookhaven Rail Terminal (BRT) serves commodities, aggregates, and building materials industry leaders including The Home Depot, Heidelberg, and LBM Riverhead.

“Long Island plays a critical role in northeast supply chains, and we are pleased to add BRT to the OmniTRAX rail network,” said OmniTRAX EVP Nathan Brown. “NorthPoint Development is building a vibrant rail-served industrial hub that can grow with the region, and we are excited to partner with them to serve this dynamic domestic market.”

Brookhaven Rail Terminal, recently rebranded as the Long Island Reload, is the first multi-modal rail freight facility on Long Island to provide rail-based shipping, warehousing and logistic services to the strategic seaboard market. Located at the geographic nexus of Long Island in Yaphank, New York, adjacent to the New York and Atlantic (NYA)/Long Island Railroad (LIRR) and the Long Island Expressway (Interstate I-495), Brookhaven Rail Terminal provides direct access to the northeast market, global ports, and the national rail network.

“We are excited about the industry leading safety and service that OmniTRAX brings to the Long Island Reload,” said Andrew Villari, Development Manager for NorthPoint Development. “Location and efficiency are critical to our industrial customers such as The Home Depot and Heidelberg. OmniTRAX adds tremendous operational strength to The Long Island Reload’s unparalleled market access.”

The infrastructure affiliate of the multi-billion-dollar Colorado based parent The Broe Group, OmniTRAX operates 31 railroads, serving ports and industrial parks across the country.
