First Domestic Rail Shipment to Customers Opens 46,000 SF Facility in Great Western Industrial Park
DENVER – Intersand America Corp, a global cat litter producer, has opened its US Headquarters in Windsor, Colo. The 46,000 SF rail-served production, packaging and distribution facility, located in Colorado’s Great Western Industrial Park (GWIP), shipped its first orders to officially commence operations. Intersand opened the Windsor plant to support growing North American demand and completed the year-long build-out of its first US facility ahead of schedule.

The new Windsor distribution center provides a strategic geographic US presence near the bentonite clay mines of Wyoming that further enhances supply chain efficiency for its raw materials via rail.
Intersand’s inaugural rail shipment of finished product from its new US distribution facility was transported by Great Western Railway of Colorado (GWR), operated by OmniTRAX, Inc., an affiliate of The Broe Group. The facility’s rail service and connection to Class I railroads provide safe, efficient and environmentally friendly transportation of raw materials and completed products – a priority for the environmentally conscious Intersand.
