Beloved Northern Colorado community tradition kicks off holiday season

Windsor, Colo. December 8, 2025 – Great Western Railway (GWR), an OmniTRAX rail affiliate, delivered the jolly guest of honor to Boardwalk Park in Downtown Windsor. For more than a decade, GWR has performed Santa’s last-mile sleigh service to the annual Windsor Wonderland community celebration. The magical holiday experience featured festive activities, live music, and photos with Santa.

“It’s an honor to bring Santa to Northern Colorado,” said OmniTRAX Vice President Dallas Ramos. “Windsor Wonderland brings neighbors, family, and friends together and we are proud to partner with such a beloved community event.”

GWR’s fully refurbished 1898 Yellowstone Pullman Car received the honor of delivering Santa to the faithful audience of thousands eagerly awaiting his arrival. Santa’s arrival on the Great Western Railway was followed by a Holiday Proclamation from Mayor Julie Cline and the tree lighting ceremony.

GWR and OmniTRAX employees and their families accompanied Santa on the train and passed out train whistles and candy canes to the children in attendance before photos with Santa and the holiday parade. Windsor Wonderland turns Boardwalk Park into a wonderland of lights, food trucks, and holiday activities.
