Savannah Industrial Transportation (SIT) is a seven-mile Industrial Switching Operation in Ricon, GA serving the Savannah Gateway Industrial Hub, (SGIH) which has rail connections with both the CSX and Norfolk Southern railroads. SGIH is a 2,750-acre master-planned Georgia Ready for Accelerated Development (GRAD) certified site. Located near the Port of Savannah in Effingham County, SGIH offers manufacturers, processors and distributors connectivity to U.S. and Global markets. SIT provides SGIH with rail switching, rail transloading and other freight rail services to allow the park to maximize the benefits of rail.
