OmniTRAX’s Lucy Grasso Receives Railway Age’s Women in Rail Award
Posted On: November 13, 2019

DENVER – Lucy Grasso, Strategic Operations Principal at OmniTRAX, Inc., has been named one of Railway Age’s Women in Rail for 2019. She is one of 12 honorees, from the rail industry, recognized for their vision, ability and leadership.

“Our entire team is very proud of Lucy and appreciate the work she’s done to receive this honor. We expect a lot out of all of our associates, they work very hard to meet those expectations, and it’s gratifying when a well-respected outlet like Railway Age acknowledges their success with an industry award,” said OmniTRAX CEO Kevin Shuba.

According to Railway Age editor Bill Vantuono, these twelve honorees  receive the Women in Rail award because “they have been—and still are—moving their companies forward while making contributions to the community. In an industry typically dominated by men, we want to acknowledge  women that are getting things done—and their hard work is an example for all.”

Grasso started her railroad career as a manager in the OmniTRAX real estate department. In her current role, she developed a comprehensive five-year Strategic Operating Plan for all business lines; built robust KPI metrics into C-Team and board-level reporting; and developed targeted action plans to increase operational effectiveness against those KPIs.

“Lucy has rapidly become an integral part of our operations team, providing fresh insight into the challenges our railroads face on a day-to-day basis. And she’s accomplished this while supporting other spouses of soldiers on deployment and attending classes for her Masters in Transportation/Mobility Management,” said Sergio Sabatini, Chief Operating Officer at OmniTRAX.
